Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
Earbridge collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the apps. Everything the app does happens between your own devices over Bluetooth.
This policy covers the Earbridge apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux and Steam Deck, the ESP32 bridge firmware, and the website at earbridge.app.
What the apps do with your data
Earbridge talks to your earbuds, and to other devices running Earbridge (bridges), directly over Bluetooth. The apps do not connect to the internet and do not send anything to us or to anyone else. The only time an app goes online is when you tap a link (such as earbridge.app), which opens in your web browser.
A few things are saved on your device so the app works the way you left it:
- Your settings, and which earbuds and bridge you chose.
- On iPhone, iPad and Android, the date your 7-day free trial started. On iPhone and iPad this is kept in the Keychain so reinstalling doesn't restart the trial.
- On Linux, the Bluetooth channel your earbuds use, so they connect faster next time.
- On the ESP32 bridge, the address of the earbuds it is paired with.
None of this leaves your device. Deleting the app removes it (apart from the iPhone/iPad trial date, which iOS keeps in the Keychain until you reset the device).
Permissions
- Bluetooth: to find and control your earbuds and to act as, or connect to, a bridge. On Android, Bluetooth scanning is declared as never used to find your location.
- Notifications (Android, optional): battery pop-ups and the bridge status notification.
- Display over other apps (Android, optional): the battery card that appears when your earbuds connect.
Earbridge does not ask for your location, contacts, microphone, photos or any account.
Purchases
Earbridge Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. They process your payment under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment details, name or email address; the app only learns from the store whether Pro is unlocked.
The website
earbridge.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles requests to the site (including your IP address) to deliver and protect it. The site uses no cookies and no advertising or tracking scripts. When you click a desktop download, we count the download with the platform and country only, without your IP address or any identifier. The site's font is loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch it.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete them when they're no longer needed.
Children
Earbridge is suitable for everyone and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data from the apps or the website, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. We'll never start collecting personal data without saying so clearly first.
